Dua Lipa (born in London) is an English musician and singer who was born on the 22nd of August 1995 within London United Kingdom. The singer-songwriter signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model. She launched her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. It peaked at 3rd place in the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles which included Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One song New Rules which peaked at sixth within the United States. Lipa received an award at the Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act and her album has been certified platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa was the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London she was born on August 22, 1995. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. Her ancestors also come from the Kosovo town of Peja. Lipa's two grandfathers both were historians. The siblings of Lipa are Rina and Gjin. Lipa learned to play guitar and sing from her father Oda. He is the leader singer/guitarist for the Kosovan-rock band Oda. While at home, her dad would play original compositions along with songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was only six years old.
